Arjeplog Municipality is one of Sweden's smallest in terms of population and one of Sweden's largest in terms of area.

Within the social services for individuals and families, we have 2 social workers, 1 case officer, and 0.5 unit manager. There are also 2 assistance officers, SoL and LSS, within the unit.

As our case officer has chosen to take on new challenges, we are now looking for a social worker/case officer.

You will work with all areas within our unit, including children and youth, adults, substance abuse, financial assistance, family law, and violence in close relationships.

You will work both with authority exercise and implementation.

This means a very varied job where continuous learning is included. We are a small group that works closely together, helps each other with cases, and places great importance on dialogue with each other.

According to the new Social Services Act, we are working to become even more accessible and preventive, which includes a focus on advice and support conversations without prior investigation/decision and exceptions from documentation requirements.

In our small municipality, there is a great proximity to collaboration partners such as schools/student health, police, health center, and external partners like the church. We work together with great commitment to create the best possible conditions for the residents of the municipality.

The work is conducted according to the Social Services Act, LVU, LVM, and other applicable legislation. You are responsible, based on delegation, for legally secure handling and decisions in individual cases and for ensuring that established guidelines and routines are followed.

As a team member, you will sometimes be required to inform, lecture, and educate about our operations, both internally and externally.

Qualifications

To ensure the handling of child and youth cases, we will prioritize candidates with a degree in social work, but we also consider applicants with other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer.

We prefer that you have experience in authority exercise within some part of social services for individuals and families, such as financial assistance, children and youth, adults, substance abuse, family law, violence in close relationships, and death estate notifications.

You have good knowledge of applicable legislation. You have experience with documentation and can express yourself well in both speech and writing. You need to be structured and flexible, solution-focused, and have good collaboration skills.

Arjeplog Municipality has decided on a salary bonus that means that those who are employed in a current shortage occupation on a permanent contract in Arjeplog Municipality, with an employment date after 2018-07-01, have the opportunity to receive a salary bonus for 3 years. Social worker is currently a shortage occupation. To receive this bonus, it is required that you are registered in Arjeplog Municipality during these 3 years. The salary bonus is paid when employment exceeds: 12 months with 15,000 SEK, 24 months with 22,500 SEK, and 36 months with 30,000 SEK.

There is also the possibility to apply for a relocation bonus, which means that those with relevant education who get a job in a shortage occupation and register in Arjeplog can receive a bonus. Max 30,000 SEK after verified documentation.

The bonus is proportional to the employment rate.
