Your Responsibilities

Now you have the chance to take on a key role as we strengthen governance and working methods in our information and IT security organization. We have established a completely new role and need someone to lead and develop the work with strategic information security. Together with the IT security manager, you will oversee the information and IT security work in the municipality.

Your mission as the information security manager is to design, lead, support, follow up, evaluate, and improve the municipality-wide information security work. With a holistic perspective and a solution-oriented approach, you will coordinate the strategic information security work to establish a good information security culture.

Some of the key tasks:

• develop goals and annual plans for the municipality-wide strategic information security work and ensure their implementation
• develop and manage municipality-wide governing and supporting documents
• act as a methodological support and provide advice to departments and committees
• educate and promote a good information security culture
• lead the network for the municipality's information security coordinators and support them in their tasks
• together with the IT security manager, be responsible for maintaining a constantly updated municipality-wide overview of information security risks and vulnerabilities
• report to management and the municipal director through management reviews
• collaborate with various stakeholders, both within and outside the organization

Your Workplace

You will belong to the Legal Unit, which is one of the units in the Municipal Executive Office, part of the Municipal Executive Administration. The Legal Unit is responsible for municipality-wide legal issues, information security, and provides data protection officers for the municipality and its municipal companies.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with relevant higher education or equivalent knowledge and experience that the employer deems comparable. You have solid experience working with information security, and it is advantageous if you have worked on implementing an information security management system in an organization. We also expect experience working with ISO27001/2 and NIS/NIS2. We see that you have experience in communication, follow-up, and governance of operations, as this is a strategic role.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Certifications in information security such as CISSP or similar
• Experience working with information security in a larger organization and context
• Experience working in the public sector or other critical societal operations with regulatory requirements for information security
