Mechanical Design Engineer
Do you want to work with advanced technology and develop the aircraft of the future? We are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team that develops and tests new technical concepts and system solutions in realistic environments.
Your Profile

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechanics, technical design, or similar.
- 1+ years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Designer, Design Engineer, Calculation Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, or similar.
- Experience in requirements management and certification.
- Fluent in Swedish & English, both spoken and written.
- Swedish citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the armed forces.
- Experience/knowledge of aircraft/drones or other types of aircraft.
About the Role
We are now looking for someone who wants to help develop the aircraft of the future. The team develops and further refines demonstrators to test new technical concepts, system architectures, and solutions in realistic environments. You will work on development projects where the next generation of flight systems and aircraft are developed from scratch.
The team is growing to meet the need for rapid development, testing, and evaluation of new ideas and technologies. The role involves hands-on work with advanced technology combined with requirements management, technical documentation, analysis, and market surveillance. The work is carried out in close collaboration between different competencies with a focus on developing innovative, safe, and reliable systems for future platforms. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within safety-critical defense systems and work in a multidisciplinary team where mechanics, electronics, software, and hydraulics meet.
In this role, you may work with:
- Hydraulic and actuator systems that control hatch mechanisms, rudders, or landing gear
- System integration between mechanical and electronic components
- Requirements breakdown and interface analysis between different subsystems
- Risk and safety analyses for mission- and flight-critical systems
- Planning and follow-up of verification and testing, including documentation for certification
You will be part of creating Sweden's future defense, where specific tasks are adapted to your experience, knowledge, and interests. Travel may occur based on interest and suitability.
Conditions
The assignment is classified. Therefore, you will undergo a security clearance before employment, which requires Swedish citizenship.
