We are now looking for a special teacher for Luleå Municipality's Resource School. The Resource School is aimed at students who need adapted learning environments, small student groups, and high staff density. The Resource School serves students in grades 7-9, and students from across the municipality can apply. The school unit is located at Kråkberg School, which is a 7-9 school situated in the middle of Södra Sunderbyn. Currently, there are 5 students at the Resource School, and the number of students is expected to increase to 10 from autumn 2026. As a special teacher, you will be part of a team consisting of teaching teachers and a teaching assistant.

Teaching at the Resource School follows the national curriculum, goals, and timetable, and the instruction is flexible so that each student can develop as far as possible towards the curriculum goals based on their individual circumstances. The education at the Resource School also promotes social community. The Resource School will also support students in developing their ability to independently and collaboratively acquire, deepen, and utilize knowledge. Instruction takes place in groups at an individual level, which means that in your teaching group, you may have students at different levels.

The school unit also has access to student health services in the form of a school counselor and school nurse, as well as study and career counselors. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special teacher at the Resource School, you will have an independent and varied job, and part of your role will involve teaching the Resource School's students. You will support educational staff in planning, execution, mapping, and documentation. You will collaborate with guardians and students, as well as other professionals both internally and externally.

At the Resource School, you will be part of a smaller team consisting of the principal, educators, and a teaching assistant. You will also have the school's student health team to collaborate with, and if necessary, staff from Luleå Municipality's Resource Center.

QUALIFICATIONS

Primarily, we are looking for someone with a special teacher's degree focused on accessible and inclusive learning environments, based on current research and proven experience. If you have a special education degree, you are welcome to apply as there may be a possibility for employment as a special educator. If you are a certified teacher with skills and experience in the area, that may also be of interest to the organization.

You have:

• teacher certification
• special education degree and/or special teacher's degree
• experience working as a special teacher and teacher
• several years of experience working with students in need of special support
• experience in adapting the social, physical, and educational environment in schools
• experience working with students with NPF diagnoses, language disorders, and/or problematic school absenteeism

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience with various development assignments in schools where the perspective has mainly been health-promoting and preventive
• experience using observation as a tool to contribute to the development of the accessible learning environment
• experience working with visual support

The job requires you to be independent and structured. Since the role involves a lot of collaboration both within the Resource School and with staff at the school, a key to success in the role is having good collaboration skills. You need to be a secure and stable person with a good ability to handle and meet people. It is also important that you are flexible and solution-oriented, as we constantly need to adapt and think innovatively based on the needs and conditions of the organization. You have a salutogenic perspective. You have a good ability to build relationships with students and guardians.
