The adapted primary school in Luleå is an operation that includes students who study subjects or subject areas based on the adapted primary school's curriculum. The students have the diagnosis of intellectual disability, ID, but may also have other areas of need. We work in teams consisting of teaching teachers, preschool teachers, leisure educators/teachers in leisure homes, and student assistants. The adapted primary school students are divided into several different groups during the school day.

The adapted primary school in Luleå Municipality is located at Tunaskolan. Here, there is proximity to nature and community life as well as the city and activities. We have a collaboration with the primary school within our school unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position involves teaching students in the adapted primary school in the subject of music. You will work with planning, teaching, and assessment in the subject in close collaboration with other teachers and student health. You will plan and follow up on the daily work and have contact with guardians as needed. The position also includes assistance and support, care, and nursing in relevant student groups within the adapted primary school, which can study according to both subjects and subject areas based on the adapted primary school's curricula.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license and is qualified to teach music. It is advantageous if you have good education in language development, knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches, and experience working with students with intellectual disabilities. It is also advantageous to have good IT skills for the ongoing work with the digital development of schools in Luleå.

To succeed in this role, you need a high level of social competence, be responsible and flexible. You are attentive to students and guardians and take active responsibility for being a problem solver. You should have values that give you a positive outlook on life and see opportunities where others see difficulties and obstacles. You are used to collaborating in teams with a focus on students and are structured and solution-oriented.
