Adult Education includes municipal adult education; basic and upper secondary adult education and Swedish for immigrants, special education for adults, vocational training, commissioned training, and learning center activities.

We offer training and courses both on our own and in collaboration with external education providers, during the day/evening or remotely, always based on individual needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a committed SFI teacher who wants to teach adult students Swedish as a second language at the SFI level. You will be part of a team together with other SFI teachers and special educators.

The position is part of the VuxPuls project, which combines distance education with labor market connections and local community integration. The assignment also includes evening teaching with hybrid solutions as well as teaching at workplaces within Luleå Municipality.

The work as an SFI teacher involves overall:

• Teaching SFI across all study paths and courses
• Motivating and guiding students to achieve good study results
• Being responsible for lesson planning and documentation
• Assessing students' development based on applicable curricula
• Collaborating closely with colleagues in structured collegial learning and joint assessment
• Conducting teaching both on-site and remotely

Extended assignments within VuxPuls include, among other things:

• Collaborating with employers and the local community as well as project leaders to strengthen the connection between teaching, work life, and society
• Developing work-life adapted teaching materials in collaboration with businesses and community actors that promote practical language use
• Participating in events and workshops that promote integration and community connection, such as theme evenings and networking meetings
• Holding hybrid evening lessons in the VuxPuls facility with both physical and digital participants

QUALIFICATIONS

We primarily seek you who are a licensed teacher with qualifications in Swedish as a second language at the basic level, but you who have a teaching license and are in the process of completing your qualifications are also welcome to apply.

To succeed in the role, you need to be flexible, have the ability to quickly adapt to changes, and prioritize when circumstances shift. The work pace can be high during certain periods, which requires you to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain focus even when there is a lot happening. At the same time, we value quality and accuracy in everything we do.

A large part of the teaching and pedagogical documentation takes place digitally, which means you need to have good digital competence. Otherwise, we would like you to be a team player who values collaboration and wants to develop, and develop together with your colleagues. You also have the ability to plan and organize your work effectively.
