The research group in electronics systems at the Department of Systems and Space Technology at Luleå University of Technology has long been established in the fields of electronics design, electrical measurement technology, and electromagnetic compatibility. We are active in education at the undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels as well as in several external research projects. The research group is now seeking a knowledgeable and committed student to serve as an assistant in research projects in these areas.

Job Responsibilities

Typical tasks for this position will be to perform specific tasks in research projects related to hardware and software for AI-based real-time spectrum monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience

You should be enrolled in the program of engineering physics and electrical engineering, space technology, or computer engineering or a related field and be knowledgeable in electronics, signal processing, programming, and AI. You must be able to express yourself both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. Experience in similar work is an advantage.

Conditions

Employment as an assistant is regulated by the Higher Education Ordinance Chapter 5. Only those who are admitted to undergraduate or advanced level education may be employed as an assistant (HF Chapter 5 §10).

Hourly Wage/Compensation

For all assignments, you will receive an hourly wage as well as valuable work experience for your CV. Hourly wage depends on the difficulty of the task:

• Level 1: 156 SEK/hour (equivalent to approximately 25,700 SEK/month for full-time work).
• Level 2: 171 SEK/hour (equivalent to approximately 28,200 SEK/month for full-time work).

Information

Employment as an assistant is temporary from: 260201 to: 260701. Part-time employment of 50%. The place of employment is Luleå with limited or little possibility for remote work. The workload may vary over time and by agreement, but the goal is to distribute it in a way that is compatible with studies at the university.
