Your Role

As a materials and process engineer, you will be part of a team working with the qualification of materials and manufacturing processes. The work takes place at the interface between production, design, quality, and procurement, as well as with external contacts outside of Saab. An important part of the operation is also support to production and design, which includes assisting with material selection and deviation management. The work also includes teaching in the composite area, contact with material suppliers, and working with our internal company standards.

The composite team belongs to the Material & Process Polymer and Composite section within the Material Process and Component Engineering area, which is responsible for standardized materials and processes for the manufacturing of Aeronautics' various products. Currently, there are 18 employees in the section, and the composite team consists of 8 members.

The work can be partially adapted to the individual's skills and focus in collaboration with the rest of the team.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is at least a Master of Science (MSc) in materials technology, chemistry, physics, or similar. To be successful in this role, good knowledge of materials technology and an interest in composite materials are required. You have experience working interdisciplinary, possess good pedagogical skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

It is advantageous if you have experience in production-related work, composite manufacturing, or structural bonding. As a person, we see that you have high social competence and are both self-driven and meticulous. You have an analytical approach and are proactive in your work. You take initiative and responsibility and can work both independently and in a team. You express yourself well in both spoken and written language, in Swedish as well as English.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
