Junior IT Technician at 2.Cyber Defense Unit

Main Responsibilities
As a junior IT technician, you will belong to the operational organization of the 2.Cyber Defense Unit. The operational organization is responsible for the unit's operation of IT and communication systems through management, coordination, as well as monitoring and further development of operations and maintenance. In your daily work, you will serve as first- & second line support for the unit's established systems.
Tasks include, for example, establishing client equipment, operating and monitoring servers and networks, as well as racking network and server hardware. In addition to these tasks, operations ensure that the unit's IT systems meet current security requirements with a high degree of availability, plan for security-enhancing measures for the unit's IT systems, and analyze operational statistics to develop the business. As part of your work, you will also collaborate closely with other colleagues within the unit and other stakeholders regarding operations, maintenance, and projects.
As a junior IT technician, you will work with maintenance and administration of IT environments that have both open and classified information. You will register, update, and document information in our support systems. The work also includes operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both hardware and software. The position may also involve assisting as an individual IT technician to a team during operations, incidents, and specific systems both in the office and in the field. Heavy lifting may occur in the position.
Competence Requirements
- High school education with a focus on IT/Data or equivalent
- 1 year of work experience in IT
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
- Driver's license (B)
Meritorious
- Experience in server operations, network operations, or automation of IT systems
- Documented knowledge of enterprise products in client, network, or server hardware
- Experience with the Armed Forces' signal protection systems
- Military driver's license
- Experience in automation/scripting
- Virtualization

Other Requirements
You should not disclose that you have applied for a position at 2.Cyber Defense Unit to anyone other than those directly involved. For employment with the Armed Forces, Swedish citizenship is required. Employment comes with a national and international duty to serve. The position has combat status, which means that you must be able to handle and use weapons. You will receive this training with us. A security clearance with a background check will be conducted prior to employment. The selection process will be supplemented with psychological tests.
Employment type: Permanent employment, a 6-month probationary period applies for those who are currently not employed within the Armed Forces.
