Munka Folk High School plans to start a Study Motivating Folk High School Course (SMF), in collaboration with the Employment Agency. SMF is aimed at job seekers, with the purpose of motivating them to start/resume studies. The project will take place in the first phase from February to April 2026.

You are a folk high school teacher or a high school teacher in SO, Sv, Eng, or Ma. Other subjects may also be relevant, but teaching study techniques related to these subjects is included. Other tasks include study visits, guidance, and mentorship. The expected group size is 10-15 participants.

We are looking for an educator who is interested in working with people's knowledge and personal development. You are well-structured and driven by collaboration with others in the organization, and since the course is expected to have a relatively large proportion of participants with neuropsychiatric disabilities, often in combination with mental health issues, we would like you to have experience teaching this student group. At folk high schools, the documentation requirements are lower than in the regular school system, and parental contacts are virtually non-existent. However, the social pedagogical work is a larger part of the job here.

The appointment to the position is subject to the planned project being implemented. The size of the position may be discussed based on the applicant's and the organization's conditions.

The position is a vacation position, fixed-term employment from January 19 to April 30, 2026, with a great possibility of extension if the project goes well.

Qualifications: You have education in both the teaching subjects and in pedagogy and/or experience in teaching, preferably within folk education, but we also welcome applicants with experience from high school. No teaching certification is required at folk high school.

The prestigious Munka Folk High School has been located in Munka Ljungby for over 100 years, 8 km east of Ängelholm in beautiful Northwest Skåne. Since autumn 2023, the course Natural Life, a distance course with on-site meetings mainly in the Södertälje area, has been included.

We have about 300 long-course participants, of which about 150 attend the school in Munka Ljungby and the remaining study one of our distance courses. In Munka Ljungby, we offer boarding with about 50 places for those who want to live at the school during the academic year. The long-course activities include General Course, Health Coach Training, Art School, Academy 55+, Distance Learning for Student and Teacher Assistants, and Natural Life at a distance. Munka Folk High School also offers shorter summer courses and evening courses within our profile, as well as commissioned training in collaboration with the Employment Agency.
