Healthcare and Care in Norrtälje (KSON)

Healthcare and Care in Norrtälje (KSON) is a unique collaboration between Norrtälje Municipality and Region Stockholm. The mission is to meet the health and care needs of the residents. KSON thus has unique conditions to seamlessly meet the residents' needs for effective comprehensive solutions and is governed by a board with elected representatives from Region Stockholm and Norrtälje Municipality.

A part of the Norrtälje model. The Municipal Association for Healthcare and Care is seeking two social workers for the elderly units.

The Municipal Association for Healthcare and Care (KSON) is facing an exciting transformation to meet the demands of the new Social Services Act. KSON began the transformation work towards a sustainable long-term social service already in the autumn of 2023. In 2024, the work was intensified with a strategic plan and a horizontal organization across departmental boundaries developed by a process leader and steering group. We therefore have broad involvement from over forty employees working in eight teams based on the focus areas identified by the new Social Services Act. The mission for these employees is to develop and implement change initiatives to enhance our social work based on the new directives of the law as decided by the steering group.

Job Description

Your main tasks will be to investigate, decide, and follow up on granted assistance measures. The work is based on a holistic perspective around the individual and with their needs at the center, which takes place in collaboration with relatives, health and medical care, other authorities, and partners.

The tasks also include participating in development work to advance the operations, such as developing clear processes and routines and driving development regarding digitalization, methods, and quality in the work.

Mentorship and the introduction of new employees are also part of the tasks.

Qualifications

To succeed in this fun and challenging job, it is a requirement that you have a degree in social work or another related higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

We would like you to have experience working in social services and authorities, preferably within elderly care.

As a person, you have personal maturity and integrity, and you dare to stand by your assessments. You are quality-conscious and service-oriented, work meticulously, and take responsibility for ensuring that tasks are completed correctly.

As the world is constantly changing, you also need to be flexible, proactive, and see challenges as something fun to solve.

You have strong computer skills and command the Swedish language well in both speech and writing. Since the municipality is large in area, you need to have a driver's license.

There is a clear mission within the department to develop processing procedures, working methods, collaboration, and innovation, as well as to introduce digital solutions as part of this. Nothing is so good that it cannot be improved!

About the Workplace

The Authority Department consists of about 75 employees, one department head, and five unit managers. The department mainly works with authority exercises supported by SoL and LSS and is also responsible for processing applications for travel and national transport services as well as implementing contact person and support family measures. The department employs LSS caseworkers, social psychiatry caseworkers, assistance caseworkers, housing coordinators, contact secretaries, fee caseworkers, and relative consultants.

Employment Type

The budget turnover amounts to approximately 4.5 billion SEK, and we currently have about 120 employees mainly with ordering, ownership, and authority assignments.
