The Department of Health and Care is responsible for providing care, support, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as support for their relatives. Our goal is to provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and safe living situation - around the clock, with a citizen focus. We are 2,500 employees who provide support and care to the citizens who need it in our various functions.

The Position and Responsibilities

We are looking for two support pedagogues for Eriksberg's service housing and Tumba service housing within the Department of Health and Care in Botkyrka Municipality.

The services provide individualized support to adult users with neuropsychiatric disabilities, mental health issues, and other additional diagnoses. The work is based on each user's conditions, resources, and goals, focusing on participation, independence, and safety in everyday life.

As a support pedagogue, you play a central role in translating individual needs into effective pedagogical methods in daily support. You combine everyday support measures with a clear pedagogical development assignment and contribute to strengthening structure, quality, and equality in the service. In close collaboration with colleagues, unit managers, and business developers, you work to develop and follow up on methods that create sustainable support measures in the long term.

Your main responsibilities include:

• providing individualized support to users in daily life
• guiding colleagues in social documentation and implementation plans
• translating methods such as low-arousal responses and motivational conversations into practice
• using and following up on communication support such as AAC and clarifying pedagogy
• contributing to business development through knowledge dissemination and pedagogical structure.

The work is scheduled and takes place during days, evenings, sleeping on-call, and weekends. The role involves independent responsibility for planning, implementing, and following up on tasks according to given routines while actively contributing to the continued development of the service.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has a higher vocational education (YH degree) as a support pedagogue in the field of disabilities and experience working with people with disabilities.

Other requirements for the position:

• Experience in social documentation, such as implementation plans or work according to Individual's Needs in Focus (IBEC).
• Experience in translating pedagogical methods into practice, such as low-arousal responses or motivational conversations.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Previous work experience as a support pedagogue.
• Care assistant education with proof of protected professional title.
• Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, such as alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

As a support pedagogue, you are structured and methodical in your work, as you are responsible for following up on documentation, implementation plans, and pedagogical methods. You plan and prioritize your work independently, contributing to ensuring that measures are implemented with quality and that users receive cohesive and equitable support over time.

You are confident in your professional role and collaborative in your interactions with both users and colleagues. Through a stable and professional approach, you can guide colleagues and collaborate with unit managers and business developers, creating engagement in the workgroup and strengthening the development of the service as well as users' opportunities for participation and independence.
