We are currently looking for a treatment pedagogue to join our team at Nytida Rånäs treatment home. The position is a 6-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

About the role

As a contact person at Rånäs HVB, you provide support to our clients in their daily lives based on an established care plan from the client’s referral source and work according to a step-by-step pedagogical approach. This means that you, as a contact person, work together with your client to map out each individual client's needs.

Your tasks vary based on each individual plan and need, which requires you to be flexible and solution-oriented. Other tasks include everyday chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, medication management, social activities, and other responsibilities.

The work includes documentation, needs assessments, observations, and writing treatment reports for our referral sources. Therefore, you are expected to be comfortable with documentation and have good computer skills as well as proficiency in the Swedish language.

The work is scheduled and includes days, evenings, and weekends.

About Rånäs Treatment Home Rånäs Treatment Home is located about an hour north of Stockholm. We have 19 places for individuals with co-occurring disorders aged 21–45, and we are licensed for HVB SoL 7.1.1.

The treatment home is divided into two units: Hammargården, which accommodates both men and women with 11 places, and Allégården, a women’s treatment unit with 8 places.

The individuals placed at Rånäs HVB have substance abuse issues, co-occurring disorders, psychotic problems, and neuropsychiatric disabilities.

The methods and approaches we work with are:

  • Step by step

  • ESL - an independent life

  • CBT

  • MI - Motivational Interviewing

  • Low-Arousal Approach

  • ASI - Addiction Severity Index

  • RP - Relapse Prevention

  • MAT - Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence

We also have a nurse associated with the operations.

Your experience and knowledge

We are looking for someone who has:

- Post-secondary education in social work, treatment pedagogy, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or other relevant education.

You should have good experience with documentation and managing record-keeping systems, as well as very good computer skills.

Additionally, you should have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written forms.

- Experience working with the target group and similar operations.

- A valid driver's license (B)

It is an advantage if you:

- Have training and experience in the treatment methods we use.

The work requires you to be responsible and unpretentious. You share your knowledge and experiences and see it as a given to contribute to a positive work environment. You have the ability to independently plan and structure your work while respecting decisions made.

Furthermore, you are stable and capable of handling a dynamic everyday life while remaining calm even in unforeseen or acute situations.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The position requires you to present a certificate from the police's criminal record register, which must be brought and shown at the interview. Please note that it may take time to obtain this certificate, so order it in good time to avoid delays in the recruitment process.
