What does the job of an activity coach at Frösunda involve?
As an activity coach in daily activities, you support individuals who have been granted assistance under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). This may include physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities. The content of daily activities is based on activities that aim to enhance social skills training.
As an activity coach, you provide pedagogical support and care to promote our customers' abilities and independence. You plan, organize, and guide based on each individual's needs. This may include providing support in social activities, during meals, and with hygiene routines.
As an activity coach, you work with various communication tools such as alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and digital aids. The job also involves maintaining social documentation of the customer's development and needs to ensure that each participant receives the right support and assistance.
Examples of job tasks:
Support during meals, social activities, hygiene routines
Documentation and reporting
Personal care such as hygiene, toilet visits, support, social presence
The working hours for daily activities are scheduled office hours according to a rolling schedule.

The daily activities at 1 Växthus offer a calm atmosphere with a focus on communication. We cater to individuals with multiple disabilities who require care.

We always start from the customer's individual strengths, needs, and interests, supporting each individual to become as independent as possible. Our driving force is to enable our customers to live an independent life with the highest possible quality of life.
The facility, located on the ground floor of a residential building, has bright, beautiful premises and access to a large private garden. Next to the facility is a natural area that offers lovely forest walks. Good transportation links are within close reach, and by car, it takes about five minutes to reach Upplands Väsby center from the facility.

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. You need to have a genuine interest and commitment to working with people and a strong sense of service. You should also be comfortable collaborating with others and strive for a good atmosphere and a positive psychosocial work environment. Furthermore, you should have a natural ability to be flexible and responsive in your working style, interactions, and collaboration with colleagues, your immediate supervisor, as well as when cooperating both within Frösunda Omsorg and with external actors and relatives of our customers. Other important qualities we specifically seek are personal maturity and good judgment, a positive attitude, and the ability to act with calm, composed, and professional demeanor in your professional role, even when unforeseen events and stress arise. You also need to understand the importance of taking responsibility for your tasks and the development opportunities you encounter in your work to demonstrate good teamwork and to be a good representative for the organization and Frösunda Omsorg.
We prefer that you have a high school education in the Health and Care program or the Child and Recreation program, with a focus on social work.
A driving license (B) is required to conduct activities with customers.
Previous experience working with LSS and care experience is highly meritorious.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
You need to have good physical ability and be a competent swimmer, and not view swimming, e.g., in a pool or lake, as a hindrance.
We want you to have experience and understanding of working customer-oriented and to comprehend and master a low-arousal approach in your professional role.
Other information
Employment type: Fixed-term employment for six months with good opportunities for extension and possibly an offer of permanent employment in the spring/summer of 2026.
Scope: 80%
Start date: 2026-01-12, with an introduction in weeks 1 and 2 of 2026.
We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Before a possible employment, you must be able to present a criminal record extract. You also need to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
