Financial Assistance in Järfälla Municipality

Financial assistance in Järfälla Municipality is divided into two units: Reception for financial assistance and Investigation for financial assistance. The Reception unit handles new cases, while the Investigation unit takes over when individuals need more support for a longer period. The units are part of IFO, the Social Services for Individuals and Families in Järfälla. In Järfälla, we think of One IFO, which means that we all within IFO should collaborate around the individual to offer the best support.

We are currently looking for you who want to become our new colleague in the Investigation for financial assistance!

Who are we and what can we offer you?

We are a dedicated workgroup where many in our team have long experience in financial assistance and have worked for a long time in our unit. They have simply found their calling in social work. It would be great if you are one of those too; we will have a lot to talk about, as no one is ever fully learned.

As a social worker with us, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop in your professional role. We offer an inspiring and supportive work environment, where close leadership from our unit manager and group leaders provides you with the support you need to succeed. Together, we work to ensure high quality in our authority exercise, while also caring for a good work environment with a focus on collaboration and well-being.

As an employee, you will also have access to several benefits, such as a wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK per year and external supervision. We value the balance between work and leisure and offer a flexible annual working time that allows you to enjoy both work life and your free time.

We look forward to welcoming you to our team and continuing to develop the Investigation for financial assistance together!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

What does the work entail with us? Our mission is to, together with the applicant, find sustainable solutions that strengthen their resources and opportunities for self-sufficiency. We know how important it is to be able to support oneself; it contributes not only to a sense of belonging but also affects overall quality of life. We know this, and it is what we strive for.

We work with investigations according to the Social Services Act (SoL) to assess the right to financial assistance and investigate the need for measures to achieve self-sufficiency. This means that we collaborate a lot both externally and internally. Our unit focuses on individuals who have a long-term need for financial assistance, usually over three months. For shorter interventions, cases are handled by our colleagues in the Reception.

The unit has close leadership with a unit manager and three group leaders. We actively work on development, with our current focus on strengthening the client's participation in the process.
