About the workplace

The mission of the Social Administration is to provide individualized support and services in elderly care, disability services, child & family, adult services, and financial assistance. We are here for the residents of the municipality through all stages of life and work to create security, participation, and good quality of life.

The reception unit is the hub of the social administration's operations and is the face to the public. For many citizens, the unit is the first contact with the administration, which places high demands on professionalism, accessibility, and responsiveness. We are proud to offer a safe, welcoming, and quality service.

The unit consists of 26 employees led by a unit manager along with three group leaders responsible for administration, children & youth and family law, financial assistance, and adult services, including housing adaptation, national transport service, and estate management.

You are driven, engaged, and have a genuine interest in social work as well as a desire to contribute to the development of the operations. With us, you will have the opportunity to grow and gain valuable experience. The work will mainly focus on the areas of children & youth, financial assistance, and adult services.

What we are looking for in you

To succeed in this role, you have:

• a degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
• experience in financial assistance, children & youth, or adult services
• good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience working in a reception group
• knowledge of Signs of Safety and Motivational Interviewing (MI)
• experience working with children, youth, or adults
• knowledge of another language besides Swedish
