Welcome to us

Within the department for promoting and preventive measures, there is the leisure area. The area is divided into two units consisting of leisure and youth centers, park activities, short-term supervision within LSS, and an HBTQI activity. The area also runs holiday activities, family buses, and an ESF project. Additionally, we have a collaboration and follow-up assignment with contractor-driven leisure activities. Approximately 65 employees work with us, the majority being leisure leaders. The management consists of an area manager, two unit managers, and several coordinators and group leaders.

As our coordinator for Leisure for All goes on parental leave, we are now looking for a driven person for a temporary position of about one year.

Your role

As the coordinator for Leisure for All, you will plan, lead, and implement daily and holiday activities for children and young people with disabilities, aiming to:

• reach the target group and create conditions for more to access meaningful leisure,
• raise awareness of leisure activities in the district,
• enable more children and young people with disabilities to find a leisure activity that suits their needs.

Your role also includes:

• Coordinating resources in the organization,
• Ensuring accessibility and adaptations for participants' needs,
• Being responsible for monitoring the organization's finances and reporting,
• Participating in collaboration with other activities within Järva SDF and with external partners and associations.

You will work on behalf of the unit manager and be part of the unit's management. You will report regularly to the unit manager and serve as a link between the unit manager and the work group. Your primary placement will be at Leisure for All, but you are expected to work every third Friday at Electric youth center and plan and schedule work shifts at other youth centers and park activities within Järva SDF. This is to contribute to the development of leisure offerings and increased quality within leisure activities.

Your role will follow a schedule and includes working evenings and weekends, which allows us to meet both employees and young people when they need us the most.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant education in leisure, social pedagogy, special pedagogy, or other post-secondary education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Current and relevant experience working with children and young people with disabilities.
• Current experience from municipal operations.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of LSS.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Experience in leadership, coordination, and/or organizational development.
• Experience from the City of Stockholm.
