TitanX Engine Cooling AB is now looking for a Lead Product Engineer who wants to help shape the next generation of heat exchangers for heavy vehicles. The Role

The role involves product development from concept to finished product, with a strong focus on technical leadership and customer interaction. You will take technical responsibility for our product line of oil coolers and play a central role in developing smart solutions that drive innovation, improve quality, and increase efficiency.

About R&D

Our R&D department belongs to TitanX's global development organization, and in Linköping, we are responsible for product development and technical solutions for oil coolers. The department works closely with customers, production, quality, and purchasing, as well as in collaboration with TitanX sites globally, with a future focus on developing cooperation with our site in the USA. Here, deep technical expertise is combined with practical implementation to develop robust, cost-effective, and sustainable products for heavy vehicles.

About the Role

As a Lead Product Engineer, you will lead the technical development and validation of products in both customer-specific projects and internal platforms.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading product strategy and technical development in customer and platform projects
  • Ensuring technical documentation such as CAD models, drawings, DFMEA, and DVP&R
  • Coordinating cross-functional R&D resources and working closely with analysis, laboratory, and simulation teams
  • Delivering technical presentations and acting as a technical contact person for customers
  • Driving technical standardization, improvement work, and design changes
  • Performing thermal simulations, validations, and analyses in collaboration with calculation and testing teams
  • Contributing to IP work, cost optimization (DFA/DFM), and innovation processes

You contribute to TitanX's success by ensuring technical quality, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction throughout all phases of the development process. The role involves meeting high demands regarding performance, sustainability, and cost. You will work closely with colleagues in design, production engineering, quality, and project management while driving your own initiatives within your area of responsibility.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5–10 years of experience in product development, with at least 5 years of experience in technical leadership being advantageous.
  • Experience from the automotive industry, preferably within heavy vehicles
  • Solid knowledge of thermodynamics, mechanics, CAD (preferably Catia V5), and GD&T
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods such as machining, sheet metal forming, and heat treatment
  • Experience with APQP, IATF 16949, and risk analyses (DFMEA)
  • Experience in design optimization with simulation (FEA, CFD)

You communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
