Unit Manager for Administration and Security

As the unit manager for administration and security at FBA, you will play a crucial role in the development of the authority's governance, support, and internal functions. FBA operates in a global context, where your work and leadership help create good conditions for the authority's work for peace, security, and development.

The unit for administration and security is part of the Governance and Support Department, where functions such as governance, methodological support, HR, communication, administration, security, and digitalization are gathered.

Your Responsibilities

As a unit manager, you will lead employees working with security issues, procurement, IT, archives, registration, and local matters. You have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and following up on the unit's operations. This means you are responsible for:

• operations, personnel, and budget,
• strategic direction and development of working methods,
• regulatory compliance and efficient resource use,
• a good working environment and trust-based leadership,
• change management within the framework of the unit's ongoing development work.

You are an active support for your employees, creating conditions for learning and collaboration, and leading the unit's assignments in close dialogue with the team. You will also be part of the department's management group, where you contribute to governance and support from a holistic perspective for the entire authority.

As a unit manager at FBA, you have the opportunity to influence strategic issues related to security, digitalization, and internal working methods. You contribute to strengthening the security culture and promoting a more efficient and unified organization. By leading functions that are crucial for the authority's overall implementation capacity, you create conditions for the authority to achieve its goals and deliver results.

Your Profile

Qualifications

• Academic degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Experience in administrative matters, preferably within public sector
• Management experience
• Knowledge of and understanding of security from a broad perspective

Meritorious

• Experience from several of the unit's areas of responsibility
• Experience working in a management group
• Experience in change management

Our Offer

You will be employed as a civil servant in the role of unit manager with a start date to be agreed upon. The position is a permanent full-time employment with an initial probationary period. FBA applies time-limited managerial appointments.

FBA has a modern activity-based office in the premises of the Swedish Defence University at Drottning Kristinas väg 37 in Stockholm. As a manager at FBA, you have trust-based working hours. There is an opportunity to enter into a remote work agreement to work up to 40% remotely.
