We are looking for a communication strategist with solid experience in creating favorable conditions for collaboration, cooperation, and understanding within IT Center and also for those we serve at IT Center, Region Jönköping County.

The Role of Communication Strategist

As a communication strategist at IT Center, you will play a central role in developing, coordinating, and driving our communication, both internally within IT Center and towards other parts of the region. You will be a key person in creating understanding of IT Center's mission, deliveries, and development work.

You will be responsible for developing communication plans and messages that strengthen our common direction, support management and operations in communication matters, and ensure that our communication is clear, accessible, and tailored to the target audience. You will work closely with communicators, system administrators, editorial groups, and colleagues within the digital workplace, as well as participate in networks and collaborations related to digital communication in the region. You will report to the unit manager for Coordination and Business Development.

An important part of the role is also to be the system administrator for the intranet based on the needs of the entire Region Jönköping County. This means that you will follow up and develop the functionality of the intranet, support editors, work on structure and findability, and contribute to a positive user experience. You will continuously collaborate with system owners, other system administrators, the IT-related administration, and editors to ensure that the intranet is a relevant and effective channel for the entire organization. The role is a permanent full-time position.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who combines strong communication skills with strategic thinking and a genuine interest in how digital communication can create business value.

We see that you:

• have the ability to analyze needs, target groups, and messages and translate this into clear and precise communication efforts
• can explain complex issues in a simple and understandable way
• are collaborative and thrive in a role with many contact areas
• take initiative, are self-driven, and advance your work with good structure
• find it easy to build trust and relationships in a complex organization

You have a university degree in communication, computer science, or equivalent, and several years of experience in similar work. You have experience in strategic and operational internal communication, intranet management, and digital channels. You also have a good understanding of IT-related issues and can translate technology into business value. Experience with Optimizely or other CMS, as well as knowledge of accessibility (WCAG), is a plus. Experience working closely with system administration or digital development is an advantage.
