Job Description

We are currently seeking an SQM/SQE on behalf of our client. As an SQM or SQE, you will have the opportunity to work independently within areas of responsibility such as mechanics, electronics, and systems. You will have many points of contact, primarily with suppliers in Sweden and Europe, but also collaborate internally with engineering, purchasing, production, and other quality functions.

In this role, it is central to ensure good quality through proactive work with suppliers. This may include:

• Planning and conducting audits
• Product inspections, claims, and deviation management
• Setting quality requirements in quotes and contracts
• Risk analyses
• Working on developing suppliers and supplier relationships

The position may also involve investigations when a deviation has occurred. This includes requesting and evaluating quality and deviation reports from suppliers and developing collaboration with suppliers proactively so that they have the capacity to meet the client's requirements and expectations.

A number of trips per year are included in the position.

Qualifications

Suitable education is a master's degree in engineering or a bachelor's degree in engineering with several years of work experience or equivalent acquired experience from the workforce.

It is advantageous if you have any of the following experiences:

• ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or EN9100
• 8D, Six Sigma, RCA, FMEA.
• APQP/PPAP
• IPC-610, IPC-620, and IPC-640
• FAI (First Article Inspection), according to EN9102

You should have practical experience in quality work in the manufacturing industry, and it is a merit if you come from the automotive industry. Since many of the clients are international, you need to have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

To thrive in the role, you are expected to take significant personal responsibility. You have a systematic and structured approach to work, are driven, and take independent initiative for action and follow-up. You are a person with good communication skills who finds it easy to build good relationships, as you will have many different points of contact both within the company and with suppliers. You have the ability to build and develop long-term business relationships while being encouraging and challenging in your mission to support suppliers in their process and improvement work.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved in a security check, in accordance with the security protection law.

Swedish citizenship is a requirement for this position.
