Your Responsibilities

Saab Tactical Electronics is growing and now needs to expand its team of software developers! Here, you will be part of an operation with expertise in product development, production, and delivery of high-tech tactical electronics.

In this role, you will belong to the team of software developers working with switches and routers for heavy military vehicles, where you will primarily work with hardware-near programming. You will have significant responsibility in several parallel projects, where you will be involved in the entire development chain – from startup to coding, review, testing, and troubleshooting on real hardware. This work also occurs in close collaboration with other teams within software development, electronics design, mechanical design, and testing.

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced software developer with good experience in hardware-near work. You have a strong technical interest and thrive in a programming-heavy role. As a person, you are self-driven, can quickly understand complex systems, and are proactive in your tasks. You are communicative and take responsibility for managing parallel tasks in a structured way.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in the field.

• Experience in hardware-near programming/embedded Linux programming.

• Very good knowledge of C and C++.

• Knowledge of lower network layers.

• Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Experience with Buildroot and/or Yocto

• Basic understanding of electronics and circuit boards.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
