Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Western Military Region

THE WESTERN MILITARY REGION (MR V) is a military unit located with its headquarters in Skövde. The staff consists of continuously serving officers and civilians. In times of heightened readiness, the staff is supplemented with temporarily serving personnel.

The commander of the Western Military Region with regional staff leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, directs security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical leaders in solving tasks within the region. MR V encompasses Halland, Västra Götaland, Värmland, and Örebro counties.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Financial Officer with ongoing work regarding the unit's personnel economy, special investigative efforts, internal administration, and ongoing work within the department.
• In the absence of the Chief Financial Officer, replace them at meetings and dialogues that the department is to participate in/lead, as well as in work management.
• Participate in planning, budgeting, and forecasting work. Conduct compilations, analyses, and reconciliations focusing on personnel economy (salary costs and other personnel-related costs).
• Participate in the development and analysis of relevant key figures within the personnel economy area.
• Develop methods within the personnel economy area together with subordinate and superior units.
• Support the HR function in cross-functional financial issues.
• Conduct financial internal control.
• If necessary, develop routine descriptions and training materials regarding finance and conduct internal training.
• And other tasks that fall within the finance role.

Qualifications

• At least a bachelor's degree in finance or another education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Driving license B manual transmission.
• Swedish citizenship.

Meritorious

• Previous employment within the Armed Forces or other public administration.
• Work experience including tasks such as budgeting and monitoring regarding personnel economy.
• Experience in working with personnel economy.

Permanent employment, CVAT, war placement, and an adapted military training for civilians.

The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.

Start date according to agreement.

The workplace is Skövde, business trips with overnight stays may occur.

Salary: Individual salary applies.
