The health center in Kil has nearly 12,000 registered patients and about 35 employees.

We are a well-functioning health center with experienced and dedicated staff.

We are a wonderful team that truly enjoys working together and caring for one another! The health center is beautifully located about 20 kilometers north of Karlstad and has good transport connections, with both bus and train options available.

Our team consists of experienced general practitioners, resident doctors, interns, and medical students who are placed with us. We have good staffing with district nurses and registered nurses, some with expertise in diabetes, heart failure, asthma/COPD, and dementia. We have a well-functioning counseling clinic with social workers. Furthermore, our team includes nursing assistants, medical administrators, a foot care therapist, a rehabilitation coordinator, and a janitor who work both independently and in close collaboration with the team.

The health center also has a physiotherapy clinic, maternal and child health care (BMM), child health care (BVC), and a laboratory. We work from a health-promoting perspective regarding the work environment, offering wellness grants and planned wellness time when the operations allow.

We work in the Cosmic journal system.

The health center now has the opportunity to welcome new resident doctors to our medical group while ensuring good supervision.

As a resident doctor, you will have a defined role and be part of a team along with your supervisor and other professional categories. You will have allocated time for studies and supervision according to a joint plan.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is interested in or has already started their residency in general medicine. The responsibilities include both acute and planned outpatient activities.

We also staff maternal and child health care (MVC/BVC), youth clinics, group homes, and home care, so these are areas you will gain experience in. The work is varied and stimulating, as we have patients of all ages with diverse medical backgrounds. You will receive guidance and support from experienced colleagues specializing in general medicine to help you develop and gain experience for your future work as a specialist.

Your Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a licensed physician with an interest in the breadth and variation of general medicine.

We place great importance on your ability to collaborate, a structured approach to work, and taking responsibility for your tasks and assignments. We value your personal qualities and would like you to have a good empathetic ability, stability, and a desire to work together with all professional categories.
