The Filipstad Health Center has 9,300 registered patients. About 30 people work here, including doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, psychosocial resources, medical administrators, foot therapists, and dietitians. A family center, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychiatric clinic, and municipal healthcare are also available in the building.

The municipality of Filipstad is both far away and close. Buses to Karlstad or Kristinehamn run once an hour. In winter, you are close to excellent ski facilities, and Filipstad is highly ranked in terms of opportunities for associations and outdoor activities. The Bergsskolan and Gammelkroppa forestry school are located in the municipality. The Meal Academy in Grythyttan, Lundsberg School, and the University of Karlstad are not far away. The Filipstad Health Center has an interesting history, including being home to Sweden's second hospital, which began operations in 1788.

Working at the Filipstad Health Center means you will receive patients who would have sought emergency care in a larger urban area. A creative and solution-focused approach is necessary, and we appreciate an interest in rural medicine. We plan to start performing ultrasound examinations at the health center during the year.

Your tasks

With us, as a specialist in general medicine, you will have a stimulating and developing job focused on continuity and a defined assignment. BVC, medical tasks at the midwifery clinic, as well as the youth clinic, home care rounds, and SÄBO may also be included. Video visits may be part of the reception to a limited extent.

If you want to combine on-site work with remote work from home, we view that positively. You will work alongside well-educated and competent staff across various professional categories. We have regular medical meetings, and participation in the region's continuing education for primary care physicians is mandatory. Some research activities are available at the health center, and we welcome any research interest you may have.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for someone who is a specialist in general medicine. You need to have a desire to provide good care with high quality, accessibility, and continuity. You should also be interested in improvement work and the development of new working methods. Digital competence is an asset.

Your personal qualities are of great importance, and we appreciate that you are an open, positive, empathetic, and engaged person. Other highly valued qualities include being flexible, having an easy time collaborating, working independently, and being interested in helping to develop the operations. You also have very good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and hold a B driver's license.
