The area of operation (VO) emergency and medicine at the Hospital in Ystad is distinguished by a broad competence, where a strong focus is on development issues and close collaboration between different professional groups. The Memory Clinic is a small unit, with low staff turnover and high continuity towards patients, relatives, and care neighbors. We work closely together in the team, have joint patient visits and referral assessments. There are good opportunities to implement your own ideas in the operations. Your future colleagues at the clinic have advanced competence as Silvia doctors and Silvia nurses. We have recently participated in research projects in collaboration with the University of Gothenburg, demonstrating compliance with the requirements for Person-Centered Care. There is established collaboration with university clinics, municipalities, and primary care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a senior/specialist physician for our Memory Clinic at the Hospital in Ystad.

As a specialist physician, you are expected to contribute to the development of evidence-based care and be prepared to supervise students and colleagues. You are also expected to take responsibility for operational development and lead continuous improvement efforts. Your job responsibilities include mentoring ST and AT colleagues as well as serving as a consulting function. With us, you work integrated in a team together with the patient and other professional categories to offer the best possible care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist physician in general medicine, internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, or geriatrics with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish that at least correspond to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.

As a person, you have good communicative and empathetic abilities as a good approach towards patients and colleagues is important to us. Many of our patients are medically complex, thus interest and ability to work in a team are important. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
