We are a newly established inpatient department with 14 care places that has a broad medical profile. Here we care for patients with diagnoses in areas such as medicine, neurology, and surgery. We care for patients who require, for example, High-flow nasal cannula therapy (HFNC), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and various drains, such as pleural drains.

We work in interdisciplinary teams with nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and rehabilitation staff, where communication and good cooperation are a common foundation, and together we focus on the patient. Additionally, we collaborate with several different areas of operation such as medicine, surgery, cardiology, and orthopedics, which contributes to a broad competence within the unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome a nurse to Medical Department 9.

With us, you will work closely with patients in an environment where each day presents new challenges and opportunities for learning. In your role, you will become part of a team where we support each other, help across professional boundaries, and have a strong focus on planning, structure, and patient safety. You will have a varied job where you, together with colleagues, are responsible for patient care, treatment, and nursing. Furthermore, you will have excellent opportunities to develop in your professional role.

As a new employee with us, you will receive an individualized introduction of at least four weeks, and if you are new in your role as a nurse, you will also be offered to participate in the clinical foundation year. The department also has support in the form of a specialist nurse and a unit manager nurse.

The position includes mentoring students and new employees. To ensure that you feel secure in your work, we see the importance of offering you training in mentoring. We value education and development of the staff group and continuously work on this. We offer both internal training and online courses.

The position includes working day, evening, and night shifts. You have the opportunity to influence how you work through a wish schedule with a quota model. We would prefer that you are interested in mainly working nights.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required.

Through your engagement and positive attitude, you create a good working climate together with your colleagues, where we all help each other to achieve the best quality of care for our patients. You have a high readiness for action, a good attitude, and can adjust your planning according to the situation. We also see that you are curious, open-minded, and have the courage to participate in changes. Furthermore, you have good self-awareness and a strong interest in internal medicine.
