JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of a dietitian, you work with diet and nutrition, both in prevention and treatment, across varying ages, conditions, and diagnoses. You work with patients both individually and in groups. We operate a dietitian-led clinic for follow-up after obesity surgery and conduct targeted health conversations for those in their 40s and 50s. Additionally, you provide support and continuing education in the field of nutrition to other healthcare staff by working in our Helpdesk, Dietitian Direct, for primary care staff in Region Skåne and developing informational materials.

- I appreciate the freedom to organize my workdays and have an impact. I have the opportunity to run different groups on topics such as overweight or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or conduct individual consultations. Moreover, the management and my colleagues are fantastic! Even though I sit alone in my role at the health center, I have a large network of other dietitian colleagues, and there are always competent colleagues just a call or email away, says Hanna.

An important collaboration is the local work at the workplace and cooperation with other professions. Being part of the workgroup and sharing and spreading the expertise of your own profession is crucial. Nutrition and dietary treatment through digital technology are other areas for development, and we are also exploring opportunities to work from home to some extent.

As a newcomer, you will receive an introduction at the workplace, shadow a dietitian colleague, and be assigned a mentor.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is a requirement.

Since you are part of our team, your personal qualities are of great importance. As a person, you enjoy taking responsibility and making your own decisions. We also see that you have a good ability to adapt to changing circumstances and can balance independent work with teamwork. Other valuable traits are being structured, creative, and proactive. Additionally, you have a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing tailored to the target audience.
