The Mission of the Social Administration

The mission of the Social Administration is to work with social services and provide support so that everyone in the municipality feels safe and has the same opportunities in life. We want everyone to be able to be active and involved in society. With a focus on respect for the individual's right to decide over their own life, we are responsible for three important areas: care and support, assistance for people with disabilities, and help for individuals and families. Our goal is for everyone to receive the support and care they need.

The Workplace

The home care in Trelleborg Municipality consists of seven districts. We work towards the goal that our customers should experience safety, comfort, and high quality in their lives and housing. It is important for us that the customer feels involved in the design of the help they receive from us and need.

We are now looking for new employees for Home Care Center East and Home Care Center North. Home Care Center East is located at Malörtsvägen 20B and Home Care Center North is located at Malörtsvägen 2. Our customers are within cycling distance and by car as the areas extend beyond the city.

Job Responsibilities

Care and service efforts for our customers. The role of the nursing assistant involves the responsibility to perform assistance decisions and delegated tasks in ordinary housing. You help and support the customer in their own home with, among other things, care, walks, escorting, and respite service. The work is planned, documented, and closely monitored. As a nursing assistant, it is therefore very important to document in the operational systems available at the workplace.

Qualifications

It is a requirement that you have an approved education as a nursing assistant and can present a certificate for protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You need to be able to work independently while also being a good colleague in the workgroup. You have a strong commitment and goal focus. You have a positive attitude towards collaboration, thrive when the pace varies, and maintain calm when the pace is high. You gain energy from constant challenges and enjoy working in elderly care. You should be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as communication with customers and relatives, as well as documentation in our operational system, is part of the ongoing work.

As a colleague, you see opportunities instead of obstacles and understand the importance of putting the customer in focus. Maintaining professionalism in meetings with customers, relatives, and colleagues comes naturally to you. Following applicable routines and guidelines is a given for you.

It is a requirement that you can cycle and have a B driver's license. Before an employment offer, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented.

The working hours are varied, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.
