JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse with us, you will have a workday that is both varied and developing. Here, you will work with medical technical procedures, central lines, pain management (PCEA and PCA), nutritional tubes, and wound care with negative pressure treatment. An important part of the care involves mobilizing patients, where you will receive good support from our physiotherapists. Here, you will develop a broad surgical competence and a solid foundation to grow in your professional role.
Whether you are new to the profession or an experienced nurse, we offer you a personalized introduction with support from experienced and supportive colleagues. If you are newly graduated, you will have the chance to strengthen your role through Region Skåne's introduction program, which combines clinical skills training with theoretical lectures. For those who want to take further steps in their career, there is the opportunity for a paid specialist education in surgery (60 higher education credits) that you can study part-time over two years - while continuing to work with us. We encourage you to actively explore and build on your skills. For example, you can become a nursing responsible nurse and participate in nursing rounds, thereby contributing to the development of care and our patients' well-being.
The team spirit is our strength. We work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and a supply pharmacist who supports medication management. In addition, we have strong support from, among others, a stoma responsible nursing assistant, dietitian, municipal coordinating nursing assistant, placement coordinator, and service hosts. We also collaborate closely with the pain team to ensure that our patients receive individually tailored pain relief. Our workplace is characterized by collaboration, care, and security - both for our patients and for you as a colleague. Here, we want you to thrive, develop, and feel like an important part of the team!
The position involves rotating shifts during the day, evening, and night. The number of night shifts affects the weekly working hours. Weekend work is included, two out of five weekends.
