Jaw Clinic - Specialist Doctor in Oral Surgery

The Jaw Clinic has a broad operation in oral surgery, orthodontics, and oral medicine.

We provide county, regional, and out-of-county care. At the Jaw Clinic, we work in various ways with skeletal surgery in the facial area, such as orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, reconstruction, and dentoalveolar surgery. We also deal with soft tissue conditions such as precancerous changes. The oral surgical unit consists of a section for elective surgery and one for emergency surgery. We provide highly specialized care, research, and education at the University Hospital in Linköping.

Job Description

The position includes standard oral surgical tasks such as implant surgery, bone transplantation, dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery, fracture surgery within the entire facial skeleton including facial trauma during trauma alarms, jaw joint surgery, and reconstruction of the facial skeleton. The position includes supervision and teaching as well as participation in on-call duties. The clinic is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Linköping University, and there are good opportunities for research and development work.

Work Group

The clinic is approved as a specialist training clinic in oral surgery. About 40 employees work here, including specialists in oral surgery, resident dentists/doctors, and assistant dentists. Outpatient services, outpatient surgery, and administration are conducted in state-of-the-art facilities. The clinic has medical responsibility for inpatients with its own ward beds.

About You

You must be a licensed dentist with specialist competence in oral surgery. You have good basic knowledge in oral surgery and have worked with tasks according to the job description. You are driven by continuous knowledge acquisition and development.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other operations, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

You are professional, communicative, and have good collaboration skills. You work in a structured manner and want to be involved in developing and driving the clinic forward.
