Do you want to help create safe and cohesive psychiatric care?
With us, you will have a central role in an engaged team where quality, evidence-based methods, and the needs of the patient are in focus.
Here, there are good opportunities for development – both for you and for the care.
Our Offer
The Psychiatric Clinic in Linköping is a university clinic with many different activities. The clinic consists of outpatient and inpatient care, addiction care, emergency services, and mobile services. You will find our operations in the newly built Tinnerbäckshuset on the hospital grounds as well as in the garrison area.
The goal is always safe and cohesive care with the patient's needs in focus. We also want to be leaders in sustainability in the workplace, and for that, we need more engaged employees!
The psychiatric outpatient clinic consists of general psychiatric base teams and several subspecialized teams, including an eating disorder team. The eating disorder team is responsible for the treatment of adults with eating disorder diagnoses. The clinic also has a regional team, a team with a regional mandate to conduct day care for adults with eating disorder diagnoses.
The eating disorder team consists of caregivers, dietitians, psychologists, psychotherapists, and doctors. We currently have a vacant caregiver position and are looking for someone interested in working with treatment interventions for individuals with eating disorder diagnoses. Welcome to a team where you work independently but also in close collaboration with your colleagues!
Please read about our career ladder for caregivers and also about your benefits with us.
Job Description
The tasks involve both independently and together with other therapists in the team conducting patient work for adults with eating disorder diagnoses. You will work with therapeutic, supportive, and psychoeducational conversations and may also meet new patients during referral visits. You are responsible for motivating, supporting, and assessing the patient and their needs, as well as coordinating efforts around this. You participate in treatment conferences and method development together with your colleagues in the team. The team regularly has joint case supervision.
Part of the position is linked to our regional day care. As a therapist in day care, you will lead group therapy and eating training for adults with eating disorder diagnoses. You may also have assignments as a contact person and hold individual support conversations.
About You
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in treatment work for individuals with eating disorder diagnoses and who is a trained caregiver with nursing assistant education. You have several years of work experience in the profession and experience in outpatient work. It is desirable that you have previous experience and education in eating disorder care and/or psychiatry as well as experience in teamwork. Basic psychotherapy training (step 1) in CBT is an advantage, as is training in CBT-E.
As you will be communicating with patients, relatives, and colleagues, it is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. The work places high demands on personal maturity and flexibility.
As a person, you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team with other professions. You are independent and secure and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You are responsible and focus on the patient's best interests based on your professional and empathetic approach. Of course, you also work according to science and proven experience. You also believe that well-being and the social work environment are important for the workplace. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
