Area of Psychiatry

The area of psychiatry encompasses both outpatient and inpatient care and assists patients in Jämtland County in need of specialist psychiatric care. The area has approximately 270 employees.

Within the psychiatric clinic in Östersund, all specialist care is housed under one roof, allowing for close collaboration within and between professions and internal mobility with opportunities for personal development for you as an employee.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse in the unit, you work as the responsible nurse for a number of patients, thus having the opportunity to follow your patients. There is good collaboration with doctors and other professionals in the field.

Here, you will work both with the patient and with the patient's network, with staff at residences or other actors around the patient. You have an important coordinating role, and part of the work is also to create person-centered care where the patient can clarify their wishes regarding interventions. You will also participate in annual follow-ups, create crisis plans, and otherwise plan and implement preventive measures.

As the responsible nurse, you are also responsible for ensuring that the plan for open coercive care is followed, and in collaboration with others, plan the preventive work so that our patients can achieve their care plan. You mentor colleagues and students, and actively participate in the ongoing development work in the unit.

You should be a secure and stable person, and you should be able to demonstrate calm in more challenging encounter situations. We prefer that you have experience in psychiatric treatment work, preferably within psychosis care. You need to have the ability to create good relationships, both with patients and relatives and other actors. The work is independent, and you have the opportunity to plan your day. We are looking for someone with the drive and commitment to contribute to developing routines and working methods within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Further education with a focus on psychiatry and Step 1 training is an advantage. We see that you have preferably worked in psychiatry or with individuals with disabilities.
