Primary care is organized into 4 local care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and close care. Each local care area is an economic unit led by a manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's medical advice, youth clinic, and the local care department Näva, all of which are grant-funded. Within the primary care area, there is a good research climate and it has the status of a university hospital unit.

Brunflo health center is beautifully located about 15 km south of Östersund and currently has about 9100 registered patients. We have a geographical catchment area that includes both urban and rural areas. The health center is a well-functioning workplace with good routines, strong collaboration, and a large portion of innovative thinking. We have a stable staff group where we utilize each other's skills and create good conditions for the patient. The health center has a well-functioning multimodal team with a physiotherapist, psychologist, rehab coordinator, and doctors, where patients are offered various treatments based on a person-centered approach. We have district nurses with their own areas of responsibility who, together with nursing assistants and medical secretaries, work at the top of their competence. The child health clinic, maternity care, and physiotherapy are well-staffed with experienced employees, and we have two dedicated unit managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as a district nurse largely consists of providing advice over the phone as well as booking patient visits, and we work with scheduled callbacks.

In addition to your own clinic with standard reception work as a district nurse, we have, for example, diabetes clinics, wound clinics, and asthma/COPD clinics. The work also includes assessing and receiving acute patients. During the work shift, there is always a so-called question doctor scheduled for consultation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained specialist nurse with a focus on district nursing with prescribing rights. We also welcome applications from nurses with basic education or other specialist training. Experience in primary care is advantageous, as well as experience/interest in wound care.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, where good collaboration skills and the ability to work flexibly are important. We prefer that you are driven, curious, have a positive attitude towards new assignments, and have a change-oriented approach to work. In this role, you are expected to work independently but also as part of a team.
