General Practitioner at Brunflo Health Center
Region Jämtland Härjedalen is a region to long for and grow in. We aim to work for development and growth in Jämtland Härjedalen and offer all residents and visitors high-quality healthcare. Our vision is good health, and we want to be a region that you long for and grow in. With us, you will work with colleagues from many professions, with both depth and breadth in expertise. Primary care in the region of Jämtland Härjedalen is organizationally part of the division Near Care, together with the ambulance service, public dental care, psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry.
Primary care is organized into 4 local care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and close care. Each local care area is an economic unit led by a manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's medical advice, youth reception, and the local care department Näva, all of which are grant-funded. Within the primary care area, there is a good research climate and it has the status of a university hospital unit. Our R&D unit can provide support and scientific guidance together with Umeå University.
Are you interested in primary care, driven, self-sufficient, and curious? Are you a newly graduated or experienced specialist in general medicine? We at Brunflo Health Center are looking for a new colleague and team member.
Brunflo Health Center is beautifully located about 15 km south of Östersund and currently has approximately 9100 registered patients. We have a geographical catchment area that includes both urban and rural settings. The health center is a well-functioning workplace with good routines, excellent collaboration mixed with a large portion of innovation. We have a stable staff group where we utilize each other's expertise and create good conditions for the patient. The health center has a well-functioning multimodal team with physiotherapists, psychologists, rehab coordinators, and doctors, where patients are offered various treatments based on a person-centered approach. We have district nurses with their own areas of responsibility who, together with nursing assistants and medical secretaries, work at the top of their competence. BVC, MVC, and physiotherapy are well-staffed with experienced employees, and we have two dedicated unit managers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary care is in the midst of the transition to close care, which means, among other things, a responsibility for fewer patients in favor of an expanded responsibility for our most vulnerable elderly. We work based on the concept of extended primary care, which also entails increased opportunities for home visits, thereby providing security to those patients who need it most.
The work as a general practitioner involves responsibility for a geographical area with outpatient visits, acute visits, home visits, qualified telephone consultations, and in-depth medication reviews. We have a weekly doctors' meeting with a joint referral review, in addition to time set aside for development work. Occasional on-call duties are included in the job.
We are responsible for four SÄBO, including short-term placements, and have a well-functioning collaboration with the municipality's district nurses in home healthcare. Within the framework of your employment, there is the possibility of side assignments within SÄBO, MVC, BVC. Supervision of candidates and training doctors is included in the work. Due to the fact that primary care has the status of a university hospital unit, the position includes teaching, supervision, and training of medical students at Umeå University.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a curious and interested specialist in general medicine who is interested in primary care and wants to develop close care at Brunflo Health Center. Independent research and research supervision are meritorious but not a formal requirement for the position.
We see that you are, as mentioned before, genuinely interested in primary care, self-sufficient, take responsibility, and want to contribute to a good atmosphere in the workgroup.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
