The Pacemaker Clinic is part of the Cardiology Unit at Östersund Hospital, where you will be part of an inspiring community and become an important part of the unit. The cardiology unit includes a heart clinic, inpatient ward, and a coronary laboratory (PCI lab). We work in teams throughout the unit and encourage professional development, investing in both internal and external training.

Patients come to the heart clinic, which operates during the day, for follow-up visits after heart attacks, investigations of heart failure, arrhythmias, and other heart diseases. At the pacemaker clinic, which is part of the heart clinic and will be your workplace, you will work closely with nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and doctors.

Are you looking for a developing job where you can utilize the full breadth of your skills while also developing a specialization in arrhythmia and pacemakers?

Then you are welcome to join us at the cardiology unit in Östersund!

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work daytime, Monday to Friday.

At the pacemaker clinic, we are responsible for the follow-up and regular checks of patients with pacemakers, ICDs, and CRTs. We also conduct syncope investigations with implantable cardiac rhythm monitors. As a pacemaker/device nurse/BMA, your work will also include monitoring the patient's remote monitoring and providing telephone advice. We also support other units in the hospital regarding pacemaker checks for patients, e.g., in the emergency department or in connection with certain radiological examinations, etc. The work also includes assisting in pacemaker surgeries.

Working in our pacemaker/device team requires you to find it exciting to work with various digital systems. Our patients may have different advanced pacemakers/devices, and training will occur gradually over a long period for the different systems so that you can work independently. There is always an experienced colleague or device physician to consult. If you want a job where you can develop over a long time and gain solid knowledge in arrhythmia and device specialization, we are the right workplace for you.

We are looking for someone who wants a varied and stimulating job. We are very proud of our operations and the excellent workplace that the heart clinic represents. We hope it seems interesting to be a part of it to contribute to top-class care.
