At the neonatal unit, we care for premature infants from 28 weeks of gestation and newborns with illnesses up to about 6 months of age. The length of stay varies from a few hours to several months.

For us, it is important that all new employees receive the support they need to feel secure in their professional role and to provide our patients with good and safe care. We offer you a long introduction tailored to your previous experiences, aimed at ensuring you feel secure when the introduction is complete. After that, you will always work with an experienced colleague.

The neonatal unit is part of the pediatric and adolescent medicine area, which also includes outpatient and inpatient care for children and adolescents up to 18 years, along with associated daycare and play therapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse in neonatal care, you will design care together with guardians and colleagues based on each child's specific condition and needs. This provides challenging tasks with breadth and variation, as well as good opportunities for professional development. The work is performed in a team with nursing assistants/pediatric nurses and doctors. We offer you an introduction tailored to your previous experiences.

Rotating shifts during the day, evening, and night with work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Newly hired nurses work days and evenings during weekdays, weekends, and holidays but are exempt from night shifts initially.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with an interest in pediatric care. Experience in neonatal care is not a requirement. You will receive an introduction alongside an experienced nurse/pediatric nurse.

It is an advantage if you have a specialist nursing education in health and medical care for children and adolescents or previous experience in neonatal care.

You take initiative and work independently when required, but you are also flexible and good at collaborating. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
