Welcome to the Infectious Diseases Department!

With us, you will have the opportunity to investigate everything from tropical diseases to sepsis and wound care. The patients are of all ages with varying underlying conditions. What they all have in common is that they have or are suspected of having an infection that requires acute medical care.

We often perform advanced emergency care, which broadens your professional knowledge, and you will have the opportunity to utilize your entire skill set. Here, you will gain a broad and solid foundation as a nurse, whether you are newly graduated or already have work experience. We encourage professional development through continuous improvement efforts and the personal responsibility to influence how the operations are conducted.

We apply a wish schedule, which is then coordinated based on the needs of the operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the department, we work in teams with nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors in patient-centered care. We have a nursing group with high ambitions, a nursing assistant group with high competence, and a stable and good medical team, along with a wonderful atmosphere in the workplace.

The Infectious Diseases Department has 17 care places, of which 15 are single rooms with sluices and the possibility of isolation. Ten rooms also have an entrance from the balcony outside, should that need arise.

The position involves rotating work during the day, evening, and night. A wish schedule for 10 weeks is created before each new scheduling period. Your introduction to the workplace is tailored based on your experience, but typically, at least 4 weeks of training is provided alongside a designated mentor.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a Licensed Nurse. You have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a team but also taking personal responsibility and initiative when needed. You have an interest in infectious diseases, and it is advantageous if you have experience in departmental work.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
