Welcome to us! We are a team of five engaged and competent district nurses who work with warmth and empathy for the municipality's care recipients. One of our most important efforts is the care we provide to citizens who are in the final stages of life.

Within health and medical care, there are also dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and a vision and hearing representative. In our area of operations, there is also the assistance unit with which we have a close collaboration.

We make home visits to the municipality's home care patients or those living in a municipal residence (special housing or group housing according to LSS). You largely organize your workday yourself in close collaboration with the colleague you share the shift with and based on the care recipient's needs.

Working at night is a meaningful and varied job in a workgroup that has extensive experience and focus on safe and secure care. The team has a broad competence and long experience of working together. You will have a safe and stable group to share your shifts with.

The social administration consists of 600 employees where the breadth of the assignment is extensive. The administration is divided into five areas of operation and is present throughout the municipality. Here, we are responsible for providing care and support, assistance and service, as well as health and medical care to the municipality's citizens who need it at all stages of life.

A night as a District Nurse within the municipality's health and medical care.

As a district nurse at night in Krokom, you are offered a free and independent job where you, together with the care and nursing staff, provide health and medical care services of high quality. The target group lives in both ordinary housing, special housing, and within the municipality's LSS operations. The tasks largely involve assessing, addressing, evaluating, and documenting.

You start your workday at the office in central Krokom by receiving a report from a colleague or day staff. This happens through journal systems, phone calls, or physical meetings. The car is then ready and warm for you when you need to go out to the care recipients.

Documentation is done in Viva and Cosmic Link, and we use the digital signing tool MCSS from Appva. We have good collaborations with Storsjögläntan (the palliative team), 1177, and ambulance staff.

Your competence

Requirements for the position

• You have a Swedish license as a nurse, are trained as a district nurse, or have extensive and solid competence and experience in the profession that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• B driver's license
• You have a secure clinical judgment and are confident in your role as you need to make many decisions independently when the world is asleep.
• Good communication skills, easy to make yourself understood in journals and other technical systems used in daily work.
• Good collaboration skills and are a skilled mentor based on your profession.

We see that you are open, unpretentious, and enjoy working together with the care and nursing staff. You have a strong commitment to working with people and a humble and professional approach. You are curious and interested in contributing your knowledge, are confident in communicating with care recipients, relatives, and colleagues. You take great responsibility for your own work, are independent, flexible, structured, and have a good ability to prioritize and contribute to a positive atmosphere during shifts.

We expect you to have high nursing competence and a good ability to make independent decisions and ethical judgments.

Other information

The position is permanent. We can be flexible with the start date as we are looking for a successor to a retirement, but no later than May 18 to allow for good introduction opportunities.

We work according to fixed schedules, rolling over five weeks. You work two out of five weekends, one short night weekend, and one long night weekend. The schedule corresponds to a 93% working degree.

Working hours: Evening (B-shift) 16:00 – 23:30, Night (A-shift) 18:00- 07:00.

You have the option to choose wellness time or wellness allowance.
