Junior Operational Buyer

SJR is now looking for a Junior Operational Buyer for a 6-month consulting assignment with one of our clients based in Solna. The assignment starts on December 19. As a consultant at SJR, you will be employed with a monthly salary and occupational pension according to collective agreements, and you will have the opportunity to develop in a stimulating role with an exciting player in the technology field. For the right person, there is a possibility of extension.

About the Role

As an operational buyer, you are responsible for ensuring deliveries of planned needs to our production, which is characterized by a strong project focus. You will work with purchasing materials for both prototypes and series production of technically complex solutions, which places high demands on quality, flexibility, and the ability to act quickly. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, planners, and various project offices to create efficient flows and high delivery precision.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing materials and services based on planned needs
• Order placement and delivery monitoring
• Preparing cost estimates and price assessments
• Supplier development related to KPIs, such as root cause analyses for late deliveries
• Ongoing feedback to customer responsible and handling of supplier follow-ups
• Managing Non Conformance Reports (NCR)
• In some cases, conducting price negotiations
• Optimizing material and information flows

Suitable Background

We are looking for someone with solid experience in supply chain, purchasing, or sourcing and preferably has worked in operational purchasing within a production-related business. You have a good understanding of the factors that drive purchasing in a supply chain environment and are used to independently driving supplier activities to ensure good delivery precision. Experience from a production environment, technical products, or project-based organizations is an advantage.
