About the job as an operational buyer

As an operational buyer with us at SAAB, you will be an important part of their Procurement/Sourcing team. You will be responsible for ensuring deliveries of planned needs to production, characterized by project-oriented flows. The role includes purchasing for both prototypes and series production of technically advanced solutions, which places high demands on quality, flexibility, and collaboration.

Common tasks:

• Purchasing of materials and services based on planned needs
• Order placement and delivery monitoring
• Preparing cost estimates
• Developing and following up supplier KPIs, including root cause analyses for late deliveries
• Ongoing feedback to project managers and follow-up of suppliers
• Handling deviation reports
• Price negotiation in some cases
• Flow optimization in purchasing and material flows

The person we are looking for

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has a good understanding of what drives purchasing in Supply Chain. You are an unpretentious, solution-oriented, and proactive person who can act quickly while maintaining focus on long-term goals.

We believe you have:

• 1-3 years of experience in operational purchasing, preferably within industry, manufacturing, or technology
• The ability to independently drive supplier activities for good delivery precision
• Experience in delivery monitoring and handling deviations
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Experience in purchasing for prototype and series production
• Knowledge of flow optimization and basic price negotiations
