Do you want to make a difference for children and youth in our municipality? We are now looking for two dedicated social workers to join our team!

About Us

At the Social Administration, we work to create a safe and supportive environment for children, youth, and their families. We are a dedicated team that supports families in vulnerable situations and works to ensure children's rights in line with, among other things, the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Our operations encompass both children, youth, and their families, as well as family law, which means we offer a broad and meaningful field of work with opportunities to develop in several areas of social work.

About the Role

As a social worker for children and youth in Lysekil, you will, for example:

  • Investigate and assess children's needs based on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU).
  • Conduct conversations with children, guardians, and other important adults and actors in the children's network.
  • Decide on and follow up on measures that strengthen children and their families.
  • Collaborate with other authorities, schools, and care institutions to ensure comprehensive solutions.
  • Document and report according to applicable laws and guidelines.
  • Participate in work related to family law issues, such as collaboration discussions, custody, residence, and visitation issues.

We Are Looking For You Who

  • Has a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Has experience in social work, preferably with children and youth.
  • Has a good ability to work systematically, handle complex situations, and make independent decisions according to delegation.
  • Is empathetic and has a genuine interest in strengthening the well-being of children and youth.
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and is accustomed to documentation.
  • Holds a valid driver's license (B).

Meritorious

  • Experience working with investigations according to BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus).
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation such as SoL, LVU, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
  • Experience or interest in working partially within the family law area, such as collaboration discussions or custody, residence, and visitation issues.

Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment. A probationary period may apply. Start date according to agreement. Employment is subject to necessary decisions being made.
