The Individual and Family Department consists of three units: the Children and Youth Unit, the Adult Unit, and the Labor Market, Financial Assistance, and Integration Unit. The units include authority exercise and open care. Each unit has two senior social workers or team leaders and is led by its own unit manager.

The Children and Youth Unit consists of two senior social workers, two social workers working in reception, three investigative social workers, one foster care secretary, one child secretary, and five family therapists.

As one of our employees is going on parental leave, we are looking for a new investigative social worker for our team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is how we work:

  • Receive and investigate reports of concern according to SoL/LVU.
  • Decide on support measures and follow up on interventions.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare, and the judicial system.
  • Actively work for children's participation and legal security.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have:

  • A degree in social work or equivalent.
  • Experience in authority exercise within children and youth is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of SoL, LVU, BBIC, and databases.
  • Empathetic, structured, and good at collaborating.

You are structured and secure in your professional role and have a very good ability to express yourself in writing as documentation is an important part of the work. You have knowledge/experience of a systems theoretical approach and a good ability to structure, plan, and prioritize your tasks.

We place great importance on personal qualities and suitability as it is important for us that you have an approach based on developing employee participation and high-performing teams as we work from this perspective with group development.

A driver's license is a requirement.

For certain professions within Tjörn municipality, an extract from the criminal record and/or a security check is required. For all positions within the social services, an acceptable extract from the police's criminal record must be presented.
