We within the area of health and care are responsible for municipal care and support within the elderly and disability sector. Our employees have expertise in the medical, behavioral science, and social fields, as well as in language and culture. We are now looking for an additional engaged housing supporter who wants to help support our customers in their daily lives in a structured and goal-oriented way.

Your new job

The housing support group is part of the social psychiatry unit in our own management. The group consists of 10 employees, including a coordinator. One employee is moving on to another position, and we are therefore looking for a new team member.

We are looking for someone who sees opportunities, has a positive view of people, and a strong commitment to helping others. The work requires you to be responsible and have personal maturity. You are a secure and stable person. You collaborate well with others and relate to customers in a responsive and flexible manner.

As a housing supporter, you support customers based on their individual needs and provide assistance from a pedagogical approach. Together with the customer, you work towards the goal of enabling them to live independently. You provide support both at home and outside the home. There will be instances of solitary work as you will be working independently with customers. The work is carried out both in central Åkersberga and outside the central areas, including Ljusterö.

You are expected to be engaged and find ways to use work methods that always provide customers with high-quality support. You are expected to be a flexible team player who sees all the unit's customers as your responsibility.

As a housing supporter, you are responsible for:

• Planning and developing work together with other colleagues.
• Establishing and following up on implementation plans.
• Writing social documentation.
• Reporting completed hours.
• Performing housing support together with customers based on the order.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with experience in health and care work, e.g., housing support or home care. You should have at least a nursing assistant education with psychiatric competence or another education deemed equivalent by the employer. You should also have basic knowledge of psychiatry and neuropsychiatry. It is an advantage if you have training in Motivational Interviewing (MI).

You should have basic computer skills and experience with social documentation.

A driver's license is required, as well as good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

The work requires you to be self-driven but also appreciate working in a team. As a person, you are solution-focused and responsible. You are skilled at creating and maintaining good relationships. You have very good collaboration skills with authorities, case managers, and other partners. We place great value on personal suitability.
