About the Position and Job Responsibilities:

As a support educator in an LSS group home, you work closely with individuals with disabilities according to LSS. You have a pedagogical responsibility in everyday life and contribute to creating a safe, meaningful, and developing environment for the users. The role involves both providing support in daily activities and developing pedagogical methods in the operations. Working hours include days, evenings, and weekends.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide individually tailored support to promote independence, participation, and quality of life.
  • Plan and implement activities based on the user's needs and wishes.
  • Be responsible for social documentation and implementation plans.
  • Guide and support colleagues in pedagogical methods.
  • Participate in quality development and value-based work.
  • Collaborate with relatives, colleagues, and external actors.
  • Work according to LSS legislation and the goals of the operations.

About You

Qualifications:

  • At least 60 higher education credits in a relevant field (pedagogy, social work, disability area) or - Support educator training at a vocational college, at least 200 YH credits.
  • Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation.
  • Knowledge of LSS operations and relevant laws.

We are looking for someone who is pedagogical, structured, and confident in their working methods. You build trusting relationships, communicate clearly, and meet users with empathy and professionalism. You have a good understanding of disabilities and work individually tailored with the support of clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal approaches. You are independent and solution-oriented, but also a team player who can guide colleagues and contribute to the development of the operations. Documentation and quality assurance are natural parts of your working methods. Personal suitability will be given great importance.
