We are looking for a team leader for social workers within the unit for child investigations, youth investigations, and reception.
We are seeking a team leader for social workers within the youth investigation unit. In the youth unit, we work with investigations according to SoL and LVU and follow up on interventions for youth aged 12-17 years, with families. We work with a cohesive approach so that families can have contact with the same social worker throughout the investigation as much as possible, and we always work in pairs during investigations. We develop our teams in the youth unit based on societal developments, and therefore we have a particular focus on youth at risk of criminality and young girls with mental health issues and norm-breaking behavior. Work in the youth unit is supported by BBIC, IRISK, and Signs of Safety. All teams have external supervision.
On the other line, the Child Path, we have, in addition to the youth unit, a children's unit and an intervention unit where we work targeted and follow up on placed youth in HVB, SiS, and support housing.
The Child Path has two specialist social workers who are responsible for the introduction of new employees and method development. Additionally, we have two administrative assistants who support all three groups.
We share responsibility for the whole, care for each other, and maintain a good atmosphere in the group. We want our work to be characterized by consensus, quality, and legal certainty; we believe it is important to develop in our work. All new employees receive a mentor for six months.
Your mission
The team leader has operational responsibility for leading and coordinating the daily work within the unit. The role aims to ensure that the work is conducted legally, efficiently, and with high quality, and that social workers receive the support they need in their work.
Main tasks:
- Operational leadership: Lead the daily work in the group, strategically allocate cases, provide individual and group supervision, and give feedback in ongoing work. The team leader also works operationally by being a co-case handler when needed, to contribute to continuity, support, and quality in the investigation work.
- Support in acute and complex cases: Back up employees in difficult and acute situations and contribute to security in case handling.
- Quality assurance and development: Ensure that routines are followed, follow up on investigations, and contribute to the development of work methods and quality.
- Introduction of new employees: Be responsible for and coordinate the introduction of new social workers, including ensuring they receive necessary supervision, an introduction plan, and support to integrate into the work.
- Coordination and goal management: Assist the unit manager in operational planning, maintain budget frameworks, and motivate employees to achieve set goals.
Your competence
You are secure and stable in your professional role, a good role model, and are happy to share your knowledge. You work independently and in a legally secure manner with the ability to focus and simultaneously delineate in case handling. You are prepared to take responsibility for the whole both within the unit and in collaboration with others. Since the position involves many points of contact and being a support to colleagues, it is important that you are trustworthy and have good collaboration skills. You need to be attentive and clear in your communication and have an easy time building relationships.
This is what we are looking for in you
- Degree in social work
- Many years of experience in investigative work within the social services authority in the area of children and youth.
- Knowledge of BBIC
- Knowledge of Signs of Safety and IRISK is meritorious
- Training in Savry is meritorious
- Ability to document correctly
- Driver's license
You are structured, meaning you can organize, plan, and coordinate. You have the ability to handle several different tasks, being flexible and switching between tasks. You find it easy to create good relationships, you are attentive and clear in your communication. You recognize the importance of and enjoy actively working for good collaboration with partners both within and outside your own organization.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
