The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for authority exercise, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and their relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, young people, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who, with strength-based working methods, provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equitable, fair, and safe manner.

The position and tasks

We are looking for two committed social workers who want to help investigate the support needs of adults in Investigation Adult 1 and 2.

In the units, we work to support adults over 25 years old who have dependency issues or mental health problems. The assignment includes qualified investigation, assessment, and follow-up of interventions according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Abusers Act, in close collaboration with internal and external actors. We are responsible for investigation, assessment, and follow-up of interventions according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Abusers Act, and we work closely with both internal and external actors to provide clients with the right support at the right time.

As a social worker, you use evidence-based methods such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Addiction Severity Index (ASI) to assess needs, strengthen motivation, and create conditions for lasting change. The work also involves follow-ups at treatment homes across the country, so it is an advantage if you have a B driver's license.

Your main tasks include:

• receiving, reviewing, and assessing incoming reports and applications according to applicable legislation
• conducting home visits and outreach efforts
• investigating clients' needs for support according to the Social Services Act or the Care of Abusers Act
• granting and following up interventions according to laws and guidelines
• collaborating internally and externally to ensure coordinated interventions
• documenting securely in the operational system Lifecare

As a social worker, you work closely with our adult outpatient care, our housing support teams, and other units within the administration. By complementing each other's competencies, we create a holistic perspective and strengthen the support for those we meet, always with the goal of offering the right intervention at the right time.

You who are applying to us

You have a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have experience of authority exercise within social services and have independently assessed the need for interventions and followed up on them.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with Addiction Severity Index (ASI), Signs of Safety, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Experience in investigations according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM).
• Experience in social change work with individuals who have comorbidity, social psychiatric issues, or dependency issues.
• Experience with process-oriented working methods, digitization, or improvement work.
• A B driver's license, as the position involves follow-ups at treatment homes across the country.

As a social worker, you meet people in vulnerable life situations, which requires you to be stable and secure in your professional role. You maintain your calm even in pressured situations and can make well-founded decisions based on legislation and the individual's needs.
