Group Leader at the Meeting Point Solstrålen in Sollentuna Municipality

About the Role

As a group leader within the unit Own Management, you will play a key role in both leading the daily work at the meeting point Solstrålen and contributing to the municipality's long-term development of preventive and health-promoting initiatives for people within LSS. Solstrålen is a meeting place that is currently open three evenings a week and offers activities such as conversations, games, and karaoke.

You will work operationally with hourly employees during the evenings, while also having a strategic role during the day in close collaboration with quality developers and other functions within the care and social services office.

The position entails overall responsibility for planning, leading, and developing the operations. You will schedule hourly employees, lead work meetings, and provide support to both colleagues and the unit manager. You are expected to actively contribute to the systematic quality work and be a driving force in developing new working methods and activities that strengthen the participation and well-being of the target group.

We are looking for someone who has

• Relevant education and experience working within LSS or with people with disabilities
• Documented experience in driving development and change work with good results

It is an advantage if you have previous experience as a group leader or in another leading/coordinating role within similar operations.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are secure and stable in your leadership, with the ability to create structure, engagement, and participation. You are communicative, solution-focused, and have an easy time collaborating with others. You enjoy taking responsibility, thinking strategically, and challenging existing working methods to improve operations.

You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Other Important Information

The position is a permanent full-time employment and involves work both during the day and in the evenings. The operation is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, which means you will work from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and be present at the operation from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Other days are office hours.
