The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for authority exercise, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, youth, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equal, fair, and safe manner using strength-based approaches.

The Position and Responsibilities

We are now looking for a senior social worker for our investigation unit Children and Youth 3.

The Children and Youth Investigation 3 works with investigating incoming reports and applications and following up on granted interventions concerning children aged 0-18 years. The main task as a senior social worker is to guide and supervise the unit's social workers in their daily case management work. You may also have your own cases.

You will be part of our small management team in the unit. The position has an extended delegation responsibility for case decisions.

Your main responsibilities include:

• ensuring that the social workers' work maintains high quality and is based on existing guidelines
• ensuring that the interaction with users is good and that granted interventions are cost-effective
• collaborating with other senior social workers and team leaders to develop the operations together
• introducing new social workers
• planning and executing methodological support
• participating as support in difficult meetings
• supporting social workers in prioritizing during high workloads

The unit consists of 20 social workers, an administrator, and a case support officer. With you, there will be three senior social workers and a unit manager. There are three groups in the unit where each senior is responsible for their group. The group is well-functioning, competent, and has extensive experience in investigating children and youth. In Botkyrka, we have developed a case process that involves close collaboration with our open care to offer tailored interventions for children and families. Teamwork is a given both within the units and with adjacent units, allowing for creating a positive difference for the people we meet.

Who You Are

You have a degree in social work and at least 5 years of work experience with authority exercise for children and youth. We also see that you have a driver's license.

Other requirements for the position include:

• Training in and experience with BBIC.
• You should have previously worked in a leadership role within children and youth.
• Training in MI and Signs of Safety.
• You have good knowledge of relevant legislation.
