Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions
We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
What characterizes us? We enjoy working and feel a strong commitment to our district Järva.
The district has a young population with backgrounds from many different cultures, which we find both fun, challenging, and not least educational and meaningful. To ensure you have a good and safe start with us, we offer orientation and guidance, which we see as an important part of the work.
The area consists of three units; the adult disability unit, the child disability and personal assistance unit, and the social psychiatry unit. The area is led by an area manager and three unit managers, and support in the work is provided by team leaders, administrators, contract handlers, and contact secretaries. We have close cooperation between the units as well as with other units and actors as we focus on the user. With us, you will have an important and meaningful assignment where you meet individuals with different types of needs who apply for support in their daily lives.
We offer
At the adult disability ordering unit, we have a high level of satisfaction and a good working environment. Several of our employees who have left the workplace have returned, which is a good sign. The workplace offers benefits such as wellness subsidies, flexible hours, some remote work, and the possibility of vacation exchange.
Your role
One of our skilled employees in the adult disability unit is moving on to the area's reception group, and we are therefore looking for a case officer and colleague for a permanent position.
The case officer within the disability unit works with the processing of interventions for persons aged 0-65 who are assessed to belong to one of the target groups according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). The intervention of personal assistance according to LSS is handled by another unit. We also process interventions according to SoL (Social Services Act), such as home care and housing support.
As a case officer, you will daily investigate, assess, and decide on interventions according to LSS and SoL and follow up on the decided interventions. Collaboration internally with other units, groups, and externally with, for example, healthcare is a constant feature of your work. A good approach towards both users and their relatives as well as other partners is something we see as a given. With us, we have high ambitions; we always want to develop and become even better at what we do! Therefore, we are looking for someone who thrives in a changing everyday life and can work under changing directives.
Your competence and experience
We see that you have:
- A degree in social work or another education that the employer considers equivalent.
- Experience working in an ordering unit.
- Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience in the disability area and knowledge of the LSS.
- Experience in investigations.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations.
- Experience with the Umbrella System, DUR.
We are looking for someone who can work independently, is meticulous, and has good structure in their work. As a person, you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You have good collaboration skills and a respectful approach towards colleagues, users, relatives, and partners. You actively contribute to a good working environment in the unit. The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thereby counteracting discrimination.
